Student's Analysis

I noticed that the intro paragraph is well written ; he or she includes the speaker, the audience and also makes it clear the tools he/she will use to write her analysis paper. The writer also does a great job introducing the Rhetorical situation. The paragraph is structured well, but it could have a better thesis statement. I noticed that he or she didn’t include any concessions.
As for the body paragraph I feel that everything was in order, he/she talks about the rhetorical tools that he/she mentioned in the intro paragraph he/she writes in order as it was listed. I really like the style of this paragraph he/she used quotes to give evidence of her assumptions. This paragraph is very well written and it provides all the information to support it.
I find myself always having a hard time with the conclusion but this writer did a wonderful job closing his/her paper everything flows and gives even more support to the body paragraph. He/she writes their opinion in a way that it is convincing without using me and I words. This paper was a good example of a rhetorical analysis it provides all the information you need to know; the style and how he/she said it.

Homework, March 26

Even though I’m not the most successful writer I feel like I have put time and effort in my rough draft summary. I really tried hard to not include any of my opinions; oh boy that was really hard. I choose the speech of Tiger Woods that way this assignment would be fun and It would keep me interested. It was difficult for me to include the analysis in my paper I felt like it was challenging to put it all together and still make sense. I’m still working in my paper and I plan to make some changes. I defiantly have a hard time wording my sentences. I’m not originally from here so writhing is very difficult for me and I have to try my best. Reading Willian’s article on revision was very helpful; I will take the tools that he gave me and apply into my summary. His article has all the information I need to revise my pape and most of them are simple steps that could make a big change in my writing. I will work on making my paragraphs stronger and only focus in one topic at a time. I hope I’ll be successful with this writhing experience

Response

In my opinion going to college is just the next step after high school, it almost feels like in our time we don’t really have a choice since the economy is so bad and without an education it’s really hard for one to survive. I defiantly think that we should go to college and get a degree that will make us happy and that it will provide for our families. It’s not about the money itself it’s about accomplishing this huge step in our lives and being a well educated person. I’ve seen it in my husband’s family how college helped them to be so successful in their lives, my husband has 5 sibling all of them went to BYU and all of them have such a stable and happy lives it’s incredible. Ben the oldest is always traveling, last year they went to Egypt, Europe and South America. My husband and I are both in college trying to do the best that we can each day so that when our little children come we’ll set an example for them and provide all the things that a parent wants to give their child.
